Swiss Pediatric Respiratory Research Group

The Swiss Paediatric Respiratory Research Group (SPRRG) is a subgroup of the SGPP. The idea of this group is to bring together researchers who have a common interest in Paediatric Respiratory Research. This group should enhance communication amongst the group and increase cohesiveness as well as productivity. The group is therefore open to active researchers from the fields of Pulmonology, Immunology, Anaesthesia, Intensive Care, Neonatology and Sports Medicine, however, with a focus on respiratory problems.

The group is actually headed by the following board members: Prof. Dr. Urs Frey, MD PhD (President, University Children’s Hospital Bern; urs.frey@insel.ch), PD Dr. Vera Bernet-Büttiker (Secretary; University Children’s Hospital Zürich; vera.bernet@kispi.unizh.ch), Prof. Dr. Jürg Hammer (University Children’s Hospital Basel; juerg.hammer@unibas.ch), PD Dr. Walid Habre (University Children’s Hospital Geneva; walid.habre@hcuge.ch) and PD Dr. Claudia Kühni (Institut für Sozial- und Präventivmedizin Bern; kuehni@ispm.unibe.ch). The board is elected every two years.

The SPRRG has an annual meeting in November (Deadline for registration is the 30th September). The annual meeting is to discuss work in progress, planned studies and methodologies and has an annual main topic. The meetings will be held in English.
